School Supplies

School supplies may not be as cool as a trip to Disneyworld for 8th grade promotion, but they are something your child will use every day and be thankful they have.  Each stage in a child's education requires new tools of the trade. Kids start out needing coloring books and crayons and eventually move up to scientific calculators and oil pastels. Help them out by getting them a "care-package" of items they'll need in the next stage of their education.

Teachers also need to replenish their school supplies all the time. With severe budget cuts, especially in California, teachers find themselves in need of simple supplies all the time (especially Expo and Vis-a-Vis dry erase markers).  I love getting books, art supplies, science materials, and other supplies for my classroom. You can even get other parents to pool together to donate something larger to the classroom with little cost to each family. Also, wet wipes and hand-sanitizer are always a good thing for teachers to have in large supply.
