Having your jewelry displayed makes for easy selection on those busy mornings before school or work. I made this jewelry holder for my sister-in-law for her birthday. She really liked vintage-looking things so I found this frame (as is) at a thrift store for $3. I went to Home Depot and bought a sheet of peg board, then had an employee cut it down to the right size for me right in store (I actually made 2 more of these with the amount of material I had left-over). At the time, I attached peg board hooks (also bought from Home Depot and enough for 2 boards in each package) for her to hang her jewelry from. A better idea I've seen since is to buy decorative drawer pulls and screw them in through the holes in the peg board. It makes the board more attractive that way, although probably a little more expensive. Altogether, this only cost about $10 a board when I done.
